Review: Snap Power Charger and Nightlight

*Disclosure: I received these products to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

Like most families, we have a lot of electronic devices around the home. Between our Kindles and our iPods and phones, it seems like something is always needing to be plugged in and charged. In our bedroom, I charge my iPod at night, but up until recently was having trouble with constantly knocking the USB adapter off of the wall when I walked by. So it was a fortunate thing when I received a cool charger from Snap Power! Here's a bit about it, from the product's website:

Charge Your Devices

Our easy-to-install, sleek, and energy-efficient design safely transforms your outlet coverplate into a convenient USB charger. It requires no wires or batteries and leaves all outlets free for use!

We also received another product from Snap Power- the Snap Power Guidelight. And here's a bit about that product:

Brighten Your Home

UPGRADE YOUR OUTLETS TODAY

Our easy-to-install, sleek, and energy-efficient design safely transforms your outlet coverplate into a convenient night light. It requires no wires or batteries and leaves all outlets free for use!

Since installing these requires turning off the power, I left this installation up to my husband. I don't trust myself with things related to electricity. The instructions were simple though and I probably could have handled the installation myself. It took Daniel just a short time to install the plates in place of the traditional plastic outlet cover plates. We put the light in my son's room, since he really doesn't like the dark. It gives off a nice, soft glow and Ethan is pleased with it. The charger went in our bedroom, to solve my "knocking the USB adapter off the wall" issue. It's super convenient to use and I like the fact that I now have access to both of my power outlets, as opposed to before when the adapter was blocking one outlet.

The guidelight sells from just $15 and the charger from $25, so these are a nice, affordable option for your home. Great gift idea for the upcoming holidays as well!
