Review: Dr. Eureka from Blue Orange Games

*Disclosure: I received this game to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

I admit it. When I first opened the box for our newest game from Blue Orange Games, I was skeptical that Dr. Eureka would be something that my kids could a) understand and b) would like. Turns out I was SO wrong. I can hardly get them to ever stop playing it! They are obsessed! Here's a bit about this fun new game:

Dr. Eureka is a tactile problem solving and brainteasing matching game. Players pass colorful molecules between test tubes to match the pattern on a challenge card, building both cognitive processing and dexterity skills. Play alone or at a party with friends!

Dr. Eureka is recommended for ages 8 and up, but my almost-7-year old had no trouble picking it up quickly. I love that this game encourages my kids to think strategically and problem solve while they are having fun. I also love that they can play on their own, if they can't find someone else to play with. We're not all always on the same schedule for free time, so it's good to have something that they can play independently. The game pieces are nice quality and haven't been damaged by the inevitable dropping on our floor. And with 54 different challenge cards, there's no end to the fun! We give this game all of the thumbs up!
