Book review: Look at Us Now- A Creative Family Journal

*Disclosure: I received this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

My kids are almost-7 and almost-9 years old. We're deep into the school year with two months of packing school lunches, arguing about outfits and homework to go. It's not our most glorious moment. But still, there are so many fun times and great memories that we make on a daily basis, and I don't for a minute want those to get lost in the mess of daily life. These are the moments that make us a family and that we will remember in the future. Enter a fantastic new book- Look at Us Now: A Creative Family Journal, by Bernadette Noll.

I love this book- the questions aren't anything super big, but great triggers for remembering the little things about daily life like "what does family dinner look like?" or "our best day ever!" or "list your favorite activities." It's a great way to both start fun family conversations and to also make a fun snapshot of what life is like for your family at this point in time. And for the artistic people in the family, there's plenty of space to add doodles and illustrations of your family's life!

This is a really sweet book and would be a great addition to any family. It's available in May 2016 from TarcherPerigee, an imprint of Penguin Random House. Happy reading and writing!!
