Review: Skip Hop Forma Backpack

*Disclosure: I received this product to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

I've been a big fan of Skip Hop products since I was first introduced to them. They are always practical, well-made and, most importantly, cute! The newest Skip Hop product that I received recently is all of those things and more! It's a beautiful new bag from their diaper bag line, called the Forma Diaper Backpack. Here's a bit about it, from the Skip Hop website:

Introducing the newest member of our Forma collection–the Forma Backpack. With the same lightweight fabric and stylish quilted detailing, this backpack offers the convenience of hands-free parenting on the go.
The spacious interior has room to tote everything from snacks to spare outfits and the extra wide opening makes it easy to find essentials in a pinch. The front compartment includes 2 multi-purpose packing cubes and allows for extra storage. Everything stays in reach with elasticized interior pockets and insulated side bottle pockets.
The changing pad pocket performs double-duty, acting as a laptop holder when traveling. With the Forma backpack, function meets fashion to take you from birth to toddlerhood and beyond in style.
This backpack comes in two colors, black and peacock. I received the peacock color bag and was so excited- the color is just beautiful!

As you can see from that picture, my kids are also big fans of this backpack.  Mine arrived just before my family went on a mini vacation to a nearby town. The bag was perfect for carrying our stuff when we were out and about during the day. The straps distributed the weight nicely and I never felt like it was too heavy, even after we'd stopped by a bookstore and picked up some books.  I really loved the packing cubes that came with the bag. They were great for organizing snacks and electronic cords and kept everything from getting lost at the bottom of the bag.  The bag is a bit larger than the purses I use for everyday use, but it's a great size for outings and trips. If you are using it with a stroller, it has handy clips on the strap to attach it to a stroller handle easily.

The Forma is designed to be a diaper bag, but it's definitely very versatile and is a bag that can be used long after diapers are a thing of the past. My husband said that he wouldn't have known that it was a diaper bag if I hadn't mentioned it to him.  I'm looking forward to using it on lot of outings this summer with the kids!
