New show at Seattle Children's Theatre!

Seattle Children's Theatre is truly a jewel of the Seattle kids' entertainment scene. We've had the chance to attend many shows there over the past few years and have always walked away entertained and impressed.  There is a new show starting soon- Pinocchio! Here's a bit about it, from a press release that I received:
(Seattle, WA) – Seattle Children’s Theatre (SCT) is pleased to present a fresh adaptation of the well-known classic, Pinocchio, courtesy of a long term artistic partnership with the Children’s Theatre Company (CTC) of Minneapolis.  Based on the Italian folktale by Carlo Collodi, this novel and contemporary production will incorporate the audience’s imagination to reinforce the universal importance of telling the truth and explore the magical moments when make-believe becomes real. Adapted and directed by Greg Banks (Robin Hood, Into the West), Pinocchio is a fast-paced reimagining borrowing from great theatrical traditions of Italy’s Commedia del’ Arte, England’s Punch and Judy, and America’s Vaudeville. This kind of comedy relies on skilled actors who have the subtlety and depth to create truth in the characters, but also the timing and panache to deliver on the physical surprises and visual humor. Pinocchio will run February 6th through March 9th in SCT’s Charlotte Martin Theatre.
