Book review: God's Love for You Bible Storybook

*Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

Part of our bedtime routine with the kids is taking time to read a Bible story or two before prayers.  We recently added a new Bible storybook to our collection, one called God's Love for You, by Rich and Renee Stearns. Here's a bit about it, from the publisher's website:

God's Love for You Bible Storybook teaches favorite Bible stories followed by real stories of people sharing God’s love. Kids will see how they can learn from and help people all over the world. This book will help raise up a generation of generous, global Christians who are active in their communities and their world.

Proceeds of this book will be donated to World Vision.
I really have been enjoying reading these stories with my kids. Each story is just about a page long and is accompanied by beautiful, colorful illustrations. Very nice for our Bible storytime in the evenings.  But what makes this book really special is that it also contains stories of children from around the world that tie in with the Bible story. These are children that the CEO of World Vision and his wife have met and gotten to know.  Along with the children's stories, there are a few pictures and fun facts about the country they are from. So this book helps teach kids about the Bible, other cultures and other geography all at the same time!  It's a really special book and is a wonderful addition to our library!
