Book review: Polarity Bear Tours the Zoo

*Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and  mine alone.

We have a really fun new addition to our home book library- a cute book called Polarity Bear Tours the Zoo! Here's a tiny bit about it, from the book's website:

Polarity Celebrates the Central Park Zoo

Join Polarity as she visits Central Park favorites: the sea lion pool, the Delacorte clock, and the carousel.

This is a lovely book about an adventurous polar bear who magically escapes from her cage at the Central Park Zoo and checks out the other animals and activities in the zoo. It's full of beautifully illustrated pictures and is written in rhyme, so it's fun to read out loud to my little ones.  According to the reading specialist at my son's school, reading books that are written in rhyme is a great way to help kids learn about rhyming words and basic literacy skills!

The kids and I really like reading this book together.  Vivian especially loves all of the adventures that Polarity gets involved in- including a crazy ride on the carousel!

If your kids love the zoo or polar bears or are just looking for a fun new book, definitely take a look at this one!
