I'm not sure anyone liked The Little House That Stood more than Ethan did- he laughed hysterically through most of the show. But my parents and I were also very amused and really liked the storyline and its Biblical message about building on the right foundation. My mom has seen a lot of VeggieTales shows, and she said that this was one of the best that she'd seen recently.About The Little House That StoodWhen the Three Little Pigs roll into Cabbageville looking to build some new houses, they meet one builder with a plan and two without a clue! Larry builds with hay, Mr. Lunt with bricks, but only Bob builds his houses on a firm foundation - following the wise plans from the Master Builder's Handbook! Will the Little Piggies make the right choices when it comes to building their houses - and their lives - on solid ground? Find out in this parable that shows kids when they follow God's blueprints, then can stand strong when the storms come!
In addition to the main show on the DVD, The Little House That Stood, there is also a second episode called "The Good Egg of Gooseville", which attempted to combine the Humpty Dumpty story and the parable of the Good Samaritan. Ethan found this episode amusing in parts, but, quite honestly, the adults in the room were a little confused by it.
The DVD has extras like sing-alongs, a Silly Song with Larry, behind the scenes with Big Idea, and a history of Mother Goose. Overall, I'd say this is a DVD that's a good addition to your VeggieTales DVD library. It will be available for purchase on March 5, 2013. For more information, check out these links:
