Review: Ology products from Walgreens

I recently received an email introducing me to a new line of products from Walgreens, with the fun name Ology! Here's a bit about these, from a press release that I received:
Healthy Child Healthy World has announced a partnership with Walgreens on the launch of “Ology,” the national retailer’s exclusive line of healthy household + lifestyle products designed to be safer for human health. Aligned with its mission of protecting children from harmful chemicals, Healthy Child recognizes Walgreens’ efforts to provide parents with convenience and better access to less toxic products at affordable price points.
Some Ology products include: baby wash and lotion, laundry detergent and fabric softener, adult hair conditioner, facial and bath tissues, copy paper, lightbulbs, and more.
After trekking to Walgreens with Ethan, I decided to start my Ology review by picking up the laundry detergent and hair conditioner. I can always use more of both of those.  I chose the Spring Lavender laundry detergent- here's a bit about it, from the Walgreens' website:

Fights Tough Stains2x Laundry Liquid

  • 33 loads
  • Well being.™
  • HE & conventional machine compatible
Our laundry liquid is formulated for dedicates, woolens, & regular washing.  Containing no dyes, phosphates or artificial fragrances, it's gentle on clothing & gentle for your skin.
I choose to live well therefore, I choose Ology.

I love that the detergent is free from dyes and artificial fragrances, but still left my laundry smelling nice.  I tend to have sensitive skin, but had no problems when I switched to this detergent.  And it got my clothes clean, so I'm a believer in this detergent!

I also picked up the Ology Grapefruit and Eucalyptus Volumizing & Softening Conditioner.  Here's a bit about this product, from the Walgreens website:

Voluminizing Conditioner
Naturally Softens
  • Sulfate Free
  • Paraben Free
  • Plant & Mineral Based
  • For Dry to Normal Hair
  • Color Safe & Repairing
Before I had a chance to use it myself, my mom came to town and hadn't packed her conditioner. So I decided to have her review this product and report back to me.  She said that it smelled nice and rinsed easily. Apparently rinsing easily is something that many of the conditioners she's tried don't do well, so she liked this one.  And it left her hair looking nice too, so again, we're fans!

I look forward to trying out many more Ology product. They're available in Walgreens and Duane Reade stores, as well as on the website.

Disclosure: I received a gift card to pick up some products to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine/my mom's and ours alone.
