THE BILL & MELINDA GATES FOUNDATION VISITOR CENTER PRESENTS
“FAMILY DAY: THE GIVE EFFECT” ON DECEMBER 29TH
Puget Sound families will experience giving and gratitude through hands-on activities at Visitor Center's first-ever family day event
To celebrate the culmination of a season of giving, The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation Visitor Center invites local families to the first ever “Family Day: The Give Effect” - a free, interactive event for all ages to experience the values of giving and gratitude through hands-on activities and storytelling.
At Family Day, children and parents can participate in engaging activities like making a plushy or critter doll for a friend, playing online games that explore ways to give back, and creating cause bracelets and buttons that represent a global issue they want to help solve. This first-ever Family Day, focused on the theme of giving, aims to inspire families as we approach a new year.  The Visitor Center will also be open for attendees to explore the important work foundation grantees are accomplishing in poverty, health and education issues, and how visitors can give back in their own communities.
“The Give Effect” campaign was created to provide Puget Sound families with a venue to give back during the month of December, and share their stories online using #TheGiveEffect hashtag. Partnering with five local nonprofits, the Visitor Center’s Giving Tree contains 250 wishes from children, teens and adults in need that residents can fulfill and drop off at Family Day. Half of the wishes have been fulfilled so far, so there are still plenty of opportunities for families to give back this season.

This is today! I really like family events like this, precisely why I signed up for Feelday. They list family activities during weekends in Seattle Area. Choosing which events fit your family is very easy too. They will filter out results based on your mood.
