Review: Dr. Seuss's Deluxe Edition- The Cat in the Hat

My kids are absolutely obsessed with all of the Dr. Seuss DVDs that we've received to review over the past few months, so they were thrilled when a new one recently arrived at our home. This time it was the show that I consider to be classic Dr. Seuss (and one I remember watching as a kid!)- The Cat in the Hat. Here's a bit about this DVD, from information that I received:

While their mother is out on a shopping errand, Dick and Sally are stuck indoors on a dull, rainy day, with nothing to do. Their dreary afternoon, however takes an unexpected turn when they’re paid a visit by a charismatic, six-foot tall, hat-wearing cat, who invites himself in to search for his misplaced “moss-covered, three-handled family gredunza.”
The Cat in the Hat is just as crazy and fun as I remember it being when I first watched it many, many years ago. My kids laughed and had an absolute blast while watching The Cat in the Hat and the other two bonus episodes on this DVD- Daisy-Head Mayzie and The Hoober-Bloob Highway. And for even more fun, there's also a The Cat in the Hat Sing-A-Long!

This deluxe edition will be available for purchase on August 7, 2012 and will be released in both Blu-ray and standard DVD formats.  This is a great addition to any Dr. Seuss lover's collection!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this DVD to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
