Review and giveaway: Master Lock Portable Safe

In my pre-marriage, pre-kid life, I used to travel internationally fairly often. And  most of the places that I visited didn't have safes in the room. So I was always trying to decide whether my passport and other small valuables would be safer somewhere in my hotel room, or whether I needed to carry them all with me and risk theft/loss while I was out and about.  That's just one of the situations in which I could have used a great new product that I just received- the Master Lock Portable Safe. Here's a bit about this product, from its website:

  • Ideal for recreation, campus, office, travel or leisure use.
  • Lightweight & Portable. Protects MP3 players, cell phones, cameras, gaming devices, cash, credit cards, jewelry, keys, passports, sunglasses or other small valuables
  • Lock Up & Lock Down. Lock up valuables with the cable wrapped tightly to the safe or wrapped securely around a fixed object. Cable doubles as a carrying handle
  • Durable Water-Resistant Construction
  • Set-Your-Own-Combination for locking convenience
  • Ear Bud/Charging Cable Access Port
  • Shock absorbing foam lines the interior storage area
I really like this little safe for a number of reasons. It's not huge, but it's big enough for an iPhone or camera and a few other small items.  You can set the combination yourself, which is handy. I know I never remember preset combinations!  I found it to be very sturdy, but it's still not heavy, so it's definitely portable. This little safe also comes in pink or white. We're going camping soon, and I'll definitely be packing this safe so that we can secure our small items while we're out having adventures!

And I have good news! One of you will win a portable safe for yourself! Open to US mailing addresses, enter at the Rafflecopter widget below.

We also go camping a lot so we would use it then. And since it is lightweight, portable and water resistant I would use in for trips to the zoo or anywhere we may get stuck in the rain!

I'd definitely use it on vacation. So compact and such a great feeling of security while you're out of the room. But I'll probably give it to my daughter when she travels to N.Y. for school.
