Review- For My Children: A Mother's Journal of Memories, Wishes, and Wisdom

I know Mother's Day is past, but I have a motherhood-related product to share about today. It's a lovely little book called For My Children, and I'm so glad to have received it to review. Here's a bit about this gift book:
For My Children: A Mother's Journal of Memories, Wishes, and Wisdom is a beautifully designed and illustrated book with creative prompts that will spark Mom's recollections of fun family vacations, family games, and special holiday traditions.
This collection of fill-in-the-blank lists, questions, and queries is the easiest way for any mother to record on paper answers to the questions her children never thought to ask but will love to discover, such as:
  • What is some of the craziest parenting advice you ever received?
  • What have been your favorite parts of being a mother?
  • What are (or were) your favorite family recipes?
  • In what ways are your children like you?
I really am glad to have this book and can't wait to start writing in it and answering some of the questions for my kids.  My kids are still little, so many of the questions don't really apply yet, but I'll get to those when they do! Looking through the book I agreed with what the press release said- these definitely aren't things I would think to ask  my mom, but I would love to know her answers. I'm going to buy a copy of For My Children and send it off to my mom soon and make her start filling in the answers for my brother and I.  (Mom, act surprised).

This is just a lovely little hardcover book with high quality paper and printing inside.  I know any mom would be thrilled to know that her children want to know more about her and her life and experiences and wishes and dreams.  If you're looking for a great gift idea, definitely check this book out!

Disclosure: I received a copy of this book to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
