Review: Master Lock's 1534D Lock

Back before I had kids, I belonged to a gym near my office.  And going to the gym meant gym bags and lockers.  And lockers meant either 1) trying to remember the combination to a padlock and actually getting it to work or 2) keeping up with a padlock key while I exercised.  I'm hoping to get back to going to the gym soon, and now my lock problems are solved, thanks to Master Lock's cool new lock, the 1534D. Here's a bit about it, from the Master Lock website:
  • Easy to set & reset - use letters, numbers, symbols or mix them!
  • Interchangeable, removable dials offer over 25 million personalized combinations
  • 5 position combination allows for maximum customization
  • Soft touch dials with 2 grip points for no-slip grip
  • 2-1/2" (64mm) wide metal body for superior strength
  • Hardened steel shackle for extra cut resistance
  • Each package contains one lock
I really like this lock. It's very sturdy- definitely not a flimsy product! I thought that setting my combination was really easy. You just open the lock, slip off the rings and then put them back on with your personalized combination. Nothing complicated about it, and a personalized combination is definitely easier to remember than some random pre-set collection of numbers.

So, if you're thinking about getting to the gym this spring, or need a lock for some other reason- check out the Master Lock 1534D!

Disclosure: I received this lock to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
