I'd love to introduce you to DiaperPods. It's a new evolution in diaper technology. It controls odor and provides a convenient and sanitary disposal method, in the form of a disposable receptacle built right into a diaper. Designed with safety and sanitation in mind, the receptacle is packed and sealed into a pod located in the rear of the diaper. As I told the nice person at DiaperPods- they contacted me just in time, because we're 99% done with diapers (hurray!) here in our home. Still, Vivian is wearing diapers at bedtime most nights, so I had the opportunity to try these out. I was impressed by how much they just looked like regular diapers. If I didn't know there was a bag sealed into the back of the diaper, I would have never noticed. And I was surprised by how tightly the bag was folded up and what a good size it was once unfolded. It was definitely big enough to fit the diaper and used wipes into. You can see the DiaperPods in action at this link.
You are not going to believe how easy this will make your life! And...you can use those grocery bags for plenty of other things. It's truly a "Why didn't I think of that?" idea.
I wish I'd had DiaperPods when the kids were younger, because there were lots of times that I could not dispose of a dirty diaper where I was (church, playcafe and doctor's office, to name a few). That meant I had to always remember to have a plastic bag or two in my diaper bag, and rummage around to find that plastic bag while juggling a baby and a dirty diaper. If it had been built in and right at hand, that would have been much easier. The bag ties tightly for preventing odor escape.
I think this is a clever, useful product. If you'd like to see it in your stores, vote for DiaperPods in the Walmart Get On the Shelf Contest at http://www.getontheshelf.com/product/546/Diaperpods.
Disclosure: I received DiaperPods samples to try out and review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
