Review and giveaway: Spot It! from Blue Orange Games

I'm a huge fans of games that are simple but still manage to be fun. Anything with complicated set-up or complicated rules tends to just get put at the back of my closet and left there. Fortunately for my family, the newest addition to our games closet is one that fits my desired criteria- super-easy to learn and still lots of fun!

The game that we've been playing a lot lately is called Spot It! and it's from Blue Orange Games. Here's a bit about the game from the Blue Orange Games website:

There is always one, and only one, matching symbol between any 2 cards in this party game.
Spot it and you win!
A sharp eye and a little bit of speed is all it takes to become a Spot it! master.
Yes- it's that simple- you're just looking for the matching symbol on two cards.  This basic idea can either be used alone (as I do with my young kids) or as the basis for several games like "The Tower" and "The Poisoned Gift", all of which are detailed on game-rules cards that come with the tin of playing cards.  Spot It! is designed for ages 7 and up, but Vivian and Ethan are obsessed with it (they're 2 and 4) and are constantly asking to play what they call the "hand game".  Vivian's actually sitting next to me as I type this post and as soon as she spotted me getting out the tin of cards, she wanted to play. It's also a great game for grown-ups and I think it would be really fun at a party.

I have good news! Blue Orange Games sent me a second Spot It! game to give away to one lucky reader.  Open to US mailing addresses only, enter at the Rafflecopter widget below.
