Book reviews: Bunny Rabbit in the Sunlight and My Woodland Wish

Over the past year, I've had a couple of opportunities to review kids' CDs from Caspar Babypants. Every time a CD arrives, I admire the music, of course, but I've also really enjoyed the art on the CD covers.  Each CD cover features a beautiful picture from a talented artist (who also happens to be married to Caspar Babypants), Kate Endle. So I was thrilled when I found out that the two had branched out and collaborated on a couple of kids' books! The books are called My Woodland Wish and Bunny Rabbit in the Sunlight.

Both books are beautifully illustrated, and both are totally charming little books. Bunny Rabbit is a board book, with pictures of animals on each page and a simple story of finding different animals in different kinds of light. My Woodland Wish is the story of a child's exploration of the outdoors and all the animals that live outside.  Both books are lovely to read and have a great rhythm to them. Not only do they have a great rhythm for reading, both books have Caspar Babypants songs that go along with them, available as a free download! So, if you get tired of reading the books to your kids, just press play on the song and it'll read the books to the kids for you!

If there's a child in your life that loves animals and the outdoors, or if you're a city mom whose kids don't get enough exposure to nature (like me!), these books would be a great addition to your home library.

Disclosure: I received copies of these books to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
