Review: Froose

On Saturday, while out and about running errands, my family stopped by the FedEx office to pick up a package. When I saw that the package contained my much-anticipated samples of Froose, I was very excited and opened the box immediately. Within a matter of minutes, we had each finished a pouch of gummy snacks, and the kids were happily drinking a box of Froose drink.  Here's a bit about these products from Froose, from its website:
Froose 100% Natural Gummy Snacks

Where can you find whole grains, a good source of fiber, complex carbohydrates and organic ingredients in a 100% natural, gluten free, Grab-and Grow® pouch... Froose® Gummy Snacks – another great tasting and fun product from the Froose® team that brings natural fruity flavors in the form of Milton the Froose® Moose that kids know and love.
Froose® Gummy Snacks uniquely contain whole food and support digestive health yet contain significantly less sugar than alternative gummies. Delivering healthy convenience in right-sized, fun, familiar formats, Froose® Gummies are the ideal snack for the lunchbox, car, or anywhere!
 Froose Beverage
Froose® is an innovative new beverage for children that combines the best of organic whole grains and fruit to make a delicious and nutritious alternative to juice that is naturally low in sugar and a good source of fiber...as much as eating a whole piece of fruit.
Each packet of gummy snacks contains organic whole grains and fruit juice, 25% reduced sugar, and has 3 grams of fiber. The Froose beverage also is made from organic whole grains and fruit, has 3 grams of fiber and only 6-8 grams of sugar. Both products are gluten-free and kosher-certified. As a general rule, my son doesn't eat much actual food.  So it's very important to me that the few foods that he is willing to eat are as nutritionally balanced as possible.  Since juice and gummy snacks are both on his acceptable food list, I'm thrilled to have found Froose!

We all thought that both the gummy snacks and the Froose beverage were very yummy and had a great fruit taste.  The Froose beverage (which is available in Cheerful Cherry, Perfect Pear and Playful Peach flavors) is ever so slightly thicker than your average juice, but it in no way affected the flavor or made us not want to drink it.  The gummy snacks have a slightly different texture than regular gummy snacks (probably because they contain whole grains, and traditional gummy snacks don't), but my kids didn't seem to notice at all, and I didn't mind either! In fact, I just ate another pack of the gummy snacks as a post-lunch treat!

Froose products are available here in Seattle at QFC and Safeway. To find them in a store near you, visit this link. Happy eating!
