Review: Our Day Out With Thomas

I have a very happy and very tired family tonight- we just got back from our first Day Out With Thomas. And we had a blast!  It's not so much actually summer here in Seattle, so I was a little worried about getting rained on when we were heading to the festivities, but fortunately the sun came out and we had a dry event.

I was very impressed by the event and how well organized everything was.  People gave us great instructions on where to go and what we could do. Despite the large number of families on hand, the lines to meet Sir Toppem Hatt, get photos with Thomas, or get temporary tattoos all were fairly short and we didn't spend too much time waiting. My kids had fun walking around and looking at the model trains and the pictures of Thomas and Friends. They especially loved the tent with all the train table set up- there were plenty of places for everyone to play!

Before actually riding Thomas, we made a stop by the gift shop to purchase some Day Out With Thomas shirts for the kids, then it was time to board! The train trip was short, but the kids loved looking out the windows and waving at people as we passed by.

This was a really great event, and it's one that any Thomas fan would enjoy, I'm sure! Day Out With Thomas still has a number of events going on this year- check the website to see if there's one coming to a town near you!

Disclosure: I received tickets for my family to attend this event. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
