Review: America's Family Pet Expo (going on this weekend in Puyallup!)

My family is home from a wonderfully busy day- a day mostly spent at America's Family Pet Expo, which is going on now through Sunday, July 10 down in Puyallup at the Fairgrounds.  I'll post all the information on the details of the Pet Expo below, in case you've not seen it advertised on TV or any of the many other areas that I've spotted it this week!

We had such a good time at this event. I wasn't sure what to expect, but from the information that I had received, it sounded like a great family outing. And it was. In the space of three hours, my family saw cats, dogs, birds, fish, ferrets, bunnies, llamas, alpacas, pigs, mules, miniature horses, goats, sheep, a baby deer and a kangaroo.  And possibly other animals that I've forgotten. We saw dogs do amazing long jumps into water and cats that just stared at us and looked superior and clapped for a pig who plays soccer and saw a number of dogs who are far better trained than Ethan and Vivian are.  Ethan and Vivian looked like little tiny ping pong balls as they bounced from one animal to the next.
My city boy meets a pig

A merry-go-round with real ponies!

Vivian makes friends with a llama

The soccer-playing pig

Look at that dog jump!

The kids were yelling "MORE ANIMALS!" while they ran

Feeding the goats

Ethan meets a kangaroo. Or possibly a wallaby. I do not know for sure. Whatever it was, SO cute!

Vivian introduces herself to the pig

The cutest teeny tiny baby goat ever!

The dog show. I need these people to train my kids!

Ah, nice, calm fish :)
If you live in the area and you're free tomorrow, I'd definitely check this out! You can save $2 on ticket prices if you purchase online.

Disclosure: My family was invited to attend this event in order for me to review it here on the blog. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.

America's Family Pet Expo, the world’s largest pet and pet product expo, is coming to Puyallup, Washington, July 8-10, 2011.
