Review and giveaway (closed): Boudreaux's Butt Paste Prize Pack

For the past 3 years, 9 months, 3 weeks and 4 days, every day of my life has had one thing in common- diapers!  We're hoping to end that streak soon with the potty training of Miss Vivian, but right now the end does not seem to be too close. In that time we've become, as so many parents do, experts on diaper products that work well for our family. Honestly, we've used and liked a number of brands, but one brand that's always worked particularly well for us is Boudreaux's.  So when I had the opportunity to review several Boudreaux's products, I happily agreed. 

The products that came to my doorstep were the following:

 Original Boudreax's Butt Paste (available in 1oz, 2oz, 3oz and 4oz tubes, 16oz jar and single foil pack), is  designed to provide effective diaper rash care;

New Boudreaux's All-Natural Butt Paste, is formulated to protect chafed skin due to diaper rash and help seal out wetness;

New Boudreaux's Baby Kisses, which soothes and helps heal dry, chapped lips and cheeks;

Boudreaux's Rash Protector Spray, which is formulated to protect and help relieve chapped or cracked skin; 

and New Boudreaux's Butt Bath Moisturizing Body Wash and Shampoo, a gentle non-irritating formula for infants and children that restores moisture to delicate skin and helps prevent the drying effects of cleansing.

We've used some of these products before, and some were new to us.  The ones we've tried before were the Original Butt Paste and the Boudreax's Rash Protector Spray.  And they were still both as effective on diaper rash as they were in the past! I'm a particular fan of the Rash Protector Spray, since it's a hands-free way to take care of your baby's bum and help prevent diaper rash! Just press the button (you need to press firmly to get it to come out as a spray), and complete bum coverage is quickly achieved.

And for diaper rash treatment, Original Boudreaux's Butt Paste has always been something we've turned to in our time of need.  It's thick enough to do an effective job of treating diaper rash, but isn't so thick that you have to spend lots of time trying to get it to absorb into your baby's skin. If you've ever tried to put really thick diaper rash ointment on a mad baby's bum, you know that that is something you want to avoid ever having to do again! And it works quickly and really does do a nice job of making the diaper rash disappear.

I'm still not a fan of the odor of either the Rash Protection Spray or the Original Butt Paste, but it's not a dealbreaker for me.  The Original Butt Paste does say on the box that it has a pleasant scent, which I disagree with completely. But the odor is really only noticeable while I'm directly applying the products, and once everything is covered by my baby's diaper, the odor is not a problem.

The products that were new to me (the Baby Kisses, the All Natural Butt Paste and the Butt Bath body wash/shampoo) are all ones that I'm very happy to know about! The All Natural Butt Paste works just as well as the Original (but with a better odor) and natural ingredients.  As with the Original Butt Paste, it rubs in easily and does a really good job of both treating diaper rash and helping protect against it.

The Baby Kisses came in particularly handy lately, as Vivian's been dealing with a bad rash/dry skin area on her cheeks. The Baby Kisses was easy to apply and rub into her cheeks, and did a fabulous job of relieving the dryness on her face.  It can also be used for dry lips, and comes in a lip gloss-type tube.  Since the tube is fairly small, it's convenient for slipping into my pocket or purse, so I can always have it on hand when I need it.

The Butt Bath body wash/shampoo is probably my favorite of the five products that came in our box.  I love two-in-one products; anything that helps streamline the bath process is a good thing in my book! The Butt Bath smells nice, gets my kids clean, and is tear-free.  Best of all, it helps soothe irritated skin.  In addition to Vivian's cheek dryness, she's had a bit of dry skin and rash on her body as well, and this wash really has done a nice job of relieving some of her skin irritation.
