CD review: The Silly Dilly Band

I review quite a lot of kids' music here on the blog, so every time I open up a new CD case and pop the disc in my CD player, I have a moment of fear that this new CD, this will be the one that I am finally disappointed by, the one that I cannot post a positive review of.  Happily, that still hasn't happened, as I loved the newest CD to come into our home! This new CD is by The Silly Dilly Band and is called Come Out and Play. Here's a bit about The Silly Dilly Band, from some press materials that I received:
The Silly Dilly Band is the brainchild of lead singers Melissa Biffer and Apryl Green. Doing music classes in a "Mommy and Me' type environment ignited a desire to bring something new and innovative to the children's music genre. Encouraged by countless mothers, the girls decided to direct their talents to an original music project. Joined by a diverse group of musicians and writers, the band has released a debut CD that is getting rave reviews from all that hear it. Our influences are Rock, Blues, Pop, Peter Max, and Dr Seuss. We have been told by kids, parents, and industry professionals it is our live show that truly sets us apart. It is a Fandillytastic musical and comedic adventure from beginning to end.
This is another one of those fabulous kids' CDs that I am happy to have playing in my house. The music is upbeat and fun and really got us up and moving.  As my kids tend to do when great music is playing, they wanted to be up and dancing to all of the songs.  So much so that I had to stop playing Come Out and Play during mealtimes, because I couldn't get the kids to stay put to eat!

Come Out and Play is a really fun, energetic CD that would make a great addition to any family's CD library.  You can listen to some song clips and even purchase the CD at this link. Happy listening!

Disclosure: I was sent a copy of this CD to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
