Review: Diaper Buds

One of the best things about potty training my son was that I no longer had to carry diapers around for two kids. Seriously, when they were both in diapers, I felt like my entire purse was stuffed full of diapers of various sizes. The diapers would get lost in the bottom of my bag, would get crumpled up over time or had milk/juice spilled on them, and by the time I was ready to use them, they looked completely terrible! Now I have only one kid in diapers, but I'm still losing diapers at the bottom of my bag and finding them later, soiled and crumpled.  I wish I'd found the solution to this problem before- Diaper Buds! Here's a bit about Diaper Buds, from their website:
  • Vacuum-sealed so they take up less space
  • Individually wrapped for cleanliness
  • Blooms into full size disposable diaper
  • Extra absorbent & super soft
  • Fits easily in your purse, bag or pocket
  • Dermatologist tested for sensitive skin
Diaper Buds are available in sizes 2, 3, 4, and 5. Vacuum-sealed, the diapers are, according to the website, 70% smaller than a loose diaper.   I received a size 4 diaper to try out with Vivian and was very pleased with it. The bud was easy to slip into a corner of my bag, and best of all, it was also easy to find when I needed it.  I liked that the diaper stayed clean and ready-to-use. The waterproof/dirtproof packaging was easy to open (and is recyclable!), and the diaper really did come back to full size right away!  The diaper itself was a nice one and Vivian had no leakage issues with it.

The size 4 diaper bud was a little larger than I would carry around in a pocket, but it's still a nice, hygenic solution for either carrying around a diaper in your diaper bag or just sticking in the bottom of the stroller or in your purse. Right now, for a limited time, you can try a diaper bud for just $1- including shipping! If you struggle with the diaper transport/storage issue like I did, definitely check Diaper Buds out!
