Congrats to my winner: Diane52
I admit it, I have an addiction to all things related to organization and planning. There's little in life that makes me happier than a to-do list or a calendar. So I was thrilled to have the opportunity to review a day planner from dotmine. Here's a bit about the company and products:
At dotmine, our philosophy is simple: create fashionable, functional and affordable day planners to help individuals and families organize busy lives. We start with great art … fun, elegant and sometimes funky. Then, we arrange and design the contents of our planners to serve families, students and professionals. It's easy to choose a planner at dotmine- they have a nice walk-through where you choose your life situation and personality, and they suggest planners that might be ones you like. Or you can browse all the options to find the one that you like best! I ended up with this beautiful blue planner-
I loved this planner before I even opened it- the light blue leather cover is just so pretty! My planner is a 17-month planner, with pages covering September 2010-January 2010. I like the size of this planner- it's 7x9 inches, which means it doesn't take up too much space on my counter and it even fits into my purse for carrying along with me.
There are several sections in the planner, starting with a guide to using the planner, so you can maximize its usefulness. After that there are small monthly calendars, and nice, large weekly planners. I love the week-at-a-glance idea- just open my planner to the right page and I can see everything I need to see! The weekly pages have tear-off margins, so you can rip off them off and take your notes or list along with you. Also at the front part of the planner is a place to think about your goals for the year and record both what you'd like to do and how you plan to accomplish it.
At the back of the planner, there's a spot for recording information about things in your life like hairstylists, library, movie theaters, pets, repair, dentists, etc. More handy tools follow- a master schedule planning grid and a place to write down your family's normal weekly schedule. I think these are both great ways to keep track of all the responsibilities and activities that we all have going on in our lives.
I really like this planner- it's pretty to look at, is a nice size, and is great for keeping my schedule under control and easy to access. There are lots of other options for planners at dotmine, so whether you're a mom, a dad, a student or busy professional, there's a planner for you. Different planners have different features, so take a look around the site and find the perfect planner for your lifestyle!
I have great news for you- one lucky reader will win his/her choice of planner! (Including the non-Borders exclusive planners, open to US mailing addresses only).
Drop by dotmine and let me know which planner you like best.
