CD review: Jason Bare Beautiful Design

I love reviewing products for the blog- and I especially love when the product that I am reviewing is one that came into my life at the exact perfect moment.  The debut CD from Jason Bare, called Beautiful Design, was one of those perfect-timing products.

Jason Bare is a pastor's kid (me too!) and former member of the Lee Singers, a famous group from Lee University. Now he also has 14 years of work as a worship leader under his belt, so it was about time for him to release a CD.  In addition to performing the songs on this CD, he co-wrote all of them.

I really have been enjoying Beautiful Design. Jason has a fabulous voice that really brings the lyrics of these songs to life and the music is great. And the lyrics of the songs are such a wonderful combination of honesty, hope and a reminder that God is always faithful, even in the challenging times of life.  I particularly enjoyed the Christmas song "For the First Time", which is gorgeous and will hopefully become a frequently played Christmas song in the years to come.  I also loved the song "Walk Before Me", which is based on Jeremiah 29:11.  I'm going to put that one on my iPod so that I can have it close at hand when I need it!

If you visit Jason Bare's website, you can hear some of the songs for this album, if you'd like a taste of what to expect! You can also purchase Beautiful Design there, and get more information about Jason Bare and upcoming tour dates.

Disclosure: I received a copy of this CD to review for myself. I was not compensated in any other way, and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
