Seattle-area people- Looking for a good end of "summer" activity?

If you live nearby, you know why I put summer in quotation marks. It's been ridiculous here.  Anyway, summer is wrapping up and school will be starting again soon, but we should have some good weather to still to come. I loved the San Juan Islands. I also loved the ferry! I can't wait until the kids are older and we can travel out there.
