Review: Little Grips

One of the most fun things about writing this review blog is the opportunity to see ingenuity of parents in all the great products that they invent. When I have a complaint about a baby product, I usually just whine about it and that's it.  But there's a whole bunch of parents out there who go way beyond that and actually come up with solutions to their problems! One of these great problem-solving inventions from a parent is the Little Grips toddler eating utensil set.

I've been watching Ethan struggle with forks and spoons for years now, and cleaning up messes from where he dropped the food on the ground as he tried to get it to his mouth.  So I had been hesitant to start Vivian on eating with a fork and spoon- it just didn't seem worth it just yet! She's played with spoons, but that's been about the extent of it. But the Little Grips were so easy to use- she caught on almost immediately!

I didn't show her how to use the Little Grips, just handed it to her and she figured it out and started happily stabbing her food and working on getting it to her mouth. She still has some practicing to do, but I know that learning to eat with a fork and spoon is going to be so much easier for her now that she has this.  My only complaint so far?  That the Little Grips are way cooler-looking than any of our other utensils, so the kids keep fighting over them at mealtimes :)

The Little Grips have a nice non-slip grip and rounded edges. I think that they are very sturdy and well made and will stand up to toddler use quite well. And they're dishwasher safe, which is a must for utensils in my house!  You can order Little Grips for $10.95 at the Little Grips website.

Disclosure: I received a set of Little Grips to use and review with my kids. I was not compensated in any other way and all opinions posted here are mine and mine alone.
