We all have special days in our lives that we want to remember- whether it's a wedding, anniversary, the birth of a child, bar mitzvah or some other important day.  Milson Road wants to help you remember that special day in your life with the personalized Daily Portrait.

I decided that I wanted to make a Daily Portrait to commemorate my wedding day- it's only been 4 years since Daniel and I got married, but it already seems a lifetime ago! Milson Road advertises the personalization process as very simple, and I found that it really was. You visit the website, choose the type of event that you'd like to commemorate, put in your information, upload a picture, select your frame/mat/plate color combination and that's it! Three weeks later you receive a gorgeous, personalized picture. The Daily Portrait itself measures 18 x 20 inches and comes matted and in a custom wood frame (the whole thing is 21 x 28, with the matting and frames), so this is a serious piece of home decor!

In the Daily Portrait, your special event and information is the "lead story". It's a short newspaper-article-style paragraph about your special event, containing the information that you provided, in the upper left-hand corner of the picture, along with the picture that you uploaded. Then the rest of the portrait contains information on the top news stories of the day, entertainment, and finance and sports...it's really a snapshot of the world on the day that your event happened!  I can tell you that I was too busy on my wedding day to know what else was going on in the world, so it's great to have this! The portrait is finished off with an engraved plate at the bottom with the name of the person or people being celebrated and the date of the event.

I think that our Daily Portrait is absolutely gorgeous and we will be proud to hang it in our home. This is really a family heirloom product- it's something that will have meaning for us and for our kids forever. Milson Road also offers gift cards, if you'd like to get someone this wonderful personalized gift, but don't have all the information on hand (or if the event hasn't happened yet!).
