Review and giveaway (closed): Good Earth Bamboo prize pack!

This week the weather has been mostly cold and grey here in Seattle, and we're recovering from several weeks of family trips and parties... all while getting ready for another weekend that includes a long drive to see family and attend a wedding.  This pretty much means that all my energy is going to things like laundry and packing and list-making, and very little of it is going into meal planning.

So it was great timing when I received a Good Earth prize pack to try out. This prize pack contained a cute set of bamboo dishes, two sets of bamboo flatware, a bamboo utility board, a 100% recyclable grocery tote and the Good Earth Mediterranean Chicken dry dinner kit. The dinner kits also come in a couple of other flavors including Spicy Citrus Glazed Shrimp with angel hair pasta, Herb Crusted Chicken with mushroom risotto and Tuscan Chicken with penne pasta. Yum!

The dinner kit was easy to use- I just added chicken (and some water and milk) to the kit and cooked for about 25 minutes and it was ready! Daniel and I both really enjoyed this dinner- good flavors and tastes in a nice combination. And it looked nice too!  Good Earth dry dinner kits contain 100% whole grain, no trans fat, no artificial flavors or preservatives and no MSG. Just add meat (and water and milk for some kits), and you'll have dinner all ready in no time!

I will definitely be buying these dry dinner kits in the future to keep in my cupboard for the days when I just don't have the energy to come up with a meal from scratch- or even for when I need something to serve to dinner guests.

As for the bamboo items in my prize pack- I'm loving these as well! The bamboo is earth-friendly, and the products look nice and are practical for use.  I'm impressed that something so light can also be so sturdy.
