Have you clicked at The Literacy Site today to help others?

I LOVE books. Books and reading have been an enormous part of my life since I was a very, very young child.  I remember reading the Little House on the Prairie series as a child and traveling with Laura as she traveled around the untamed parts of this country. And I remember reading the amazing Anne of Green Gables books and picturing myself running through the country lanes with Anne. Books have opened up worlds to me and taught me so many things that I never would have learned another way.

Not everyone is as lucky as I was, many kids don't have access to books and all the knowledge that books have inside them.  But, if you take a second today and click at the Literacy Site, you can help provide books for kids in need. While you're there, click on the other tabs to help provide health care and food and mammograms and animal shelter as well.

And, if you're needing a great present, take another minute and browse the shopping at these sites! I've made several purchases and have been very pleased with the products, and love that my purchase helps support these charities further.

Disclosure: I received no compensation and no product for this post. Just writing about something that I feel very strongly about!
