Congrats to my winner, comment #117,Lisa !
Thanks to my involvement at the Product Review Place, I was sent two sets of Softlips lip balms. I have seen these lip balms in the stores before, but had never tried them out myself, so was excited to get the package in the mail.
I was sent lip balms from both the Softlips Pure line, a line of USDA-certified organic lip balms. It's nice to have something organic on my lips- especially since I'm the type of person who tends to chew on her lips and ends up eating all the lip balm that I put on! The Pure lip balms are made of organic oils and beeswax alone with shea butter and vitamin E. Softlips Pure lipbalms come in a variety of flavors that I've never seen in lipbalms before: acai berry, peppermint, papaya, chai tea, pomegranate and honey dew.
I also received a set of Softlips Limited Edition Winter lip balms. The Limited Edition lip balms are also fun flavors- flavors that will make you feel like the holidays are here! The Winter Limited Edition flavors come in dual packs: Sugar & Spice and Vanilla, Sugar Plum Berry and Cherry, Winter Mint with Vanilla, and Sugar Cookie and Cherry. Yum! The Limited Edition lip balms are SPF20, so also are great protection for your lips from the sun as well as the wind. Perfect for those winter ski trips!
My husband and I both really liked the taste of the lip balms- the flavors were subtle but nice. My husband was initially a little concerned about the idea of wearing a flavored lip balm, but he really liked it once he tried it and reported back to me that he reapplied it often during the day. We also both liked that the lip balms feel very light when you're wearing them- they didn't make our lips look glossy or feel sticky, and didn't look like we were wearing makeup. Just a nice soft feeling and a nice subtle taste. The lip balms are great moisturizers- my lips had started to get chapped from walking in the chilly mornings, but after I'd been wearing the Softlips for a day or two, my lips were nice and soft and kissable again!
I also really like the size of the Softlips lip balms- the tubes are thin and fit easily in my pocket or in the corner of my diaper bag. These aren't the bulky lip balms that we've all used.
You can buy Softlips at Target or Walgreens, for around $2.79 for one tube.
And one of you will win the line of Softlips Pure lip balms!!!
